Acceptance through Jesus

Romans 5:8 (AMP) “But God clearly shows and proves His own love for us, by the fact that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.”

Acceptance! The song of life and victory.  The moment we engrave this truth in our hearts and minds, we cannot be the same anymore. Acceptance has nothing to do with our ability but all about the love God had for us, through Jesus. This perfect love God bestowed upon us must silence the lies of rejection and shout out accepted in every area of our lives! For a moment give thought to Jesus again, how He sacrificed and suffered for us and how we were loved first before we could love back.  Where there is perfect love – the fear that entraps us – cannot rule. Being loved means we are accepted and even more, we are accepted by the King of Kings! If we really understand this truth, we will no longer have the need to seek acceptance in other people.

1 John 4:18-19 (KJV) “There is no fear in love; but perfect love casteth out fear: because fear hath torment. He that feareth is not made perfect in love. We love him because he first loved us.”

I know for some the love of God is difficult to understand because we try to reason it out in worldly ways and terms. The only way for us to really understand the love of God is by looking at Jesus and the price He paid for us. 

One day I was led to measure my feelings of rejection to what happened on the cross. I saw a cross, one side my feelings of rejection weighing heavy: the other side the love of God. Jesus in the middle as the perfect mediator and balance between rejection and love called acceptance! This truth changed everything in my life because I finally had to admit and believe that I was loved not because of who I was, but because of who God was!

Dear reader, allow acceptance into your heart and mind today. Measure your feelings of rejection against the price Jesus paid on the cross and allow this perfect love of God to change rejection into acceptance.  Whenever those faces of rejection try to entrap you, remember how loved you are and measure your value to the cross!

Prayer: Thank You Father that we are love and accepted through Jesus. Thank You that this truth will become the new song we dance to. As we allow acceptance to transform and change us may we always give You Glory and Honour for nothing is by our own power but all through Your power and strength in our lives. Amen
