Dancing to the right music – Day 11
Worthiness
Ephesians 2:10, NLT: “For we are God’s masterpiece. He has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so we can do the good things he planned for us long ago.”
Knowing that we are accepted and loved empowers us, allowing worthiness to find its way in our lives. Do you feel like a masterpiece? Do you know your worth in Christ? Worthiness is a powerful truth that changes the course of our lives. Really believing that we are worthy through Jesus, aligns our fear back to God and sets the stage for freedom.
2 Peter 3:9 ESV “The Lord is not slow to fulfill his promise as some count slowness, but is patient toward you, not wishing that any should perish, but that all should reach repentance.”
Being worth it motivates and encourages us to reach the goals and dreams God has planned for us, the very reason why the enemy tries so hard to make us feel unworthy. The moment we accept Jesus into our lives, the past mistakes and failures have no value to God (Jesus dealt with that on our behalf). Our future is His only concern.
“The attacks against your life have much more to do with who you might be in the future than who you have been in the past.” — Lisa Bevere
God is patient and kind towards us and wants to fulfill His promises over our lives. It is up to us if we want to receive it and believe it. On the stage of life, He wants you to dance and perform to His songs of love for you and knowing you are good enough, and yes, whenever you fail and make mistakes seek repentance and His presence.
Sometimes we need to remind ourselves of our worth in Christ, especially when the music of the world is so overwhelming, and we allow others to make us feel unworthy. Make the decision today to silence all the sounds of your unworthiness and shout out loud and proclaim your worth in Christ. Sing and shout it so loud that the enemy will flee!
John 4:23-24 ESV “But the hour is coming, and is now here, when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth, for the Father is seeking such people to worship him. God is spirit, and those who worship him must worship in spirit and truth.”
Prayer: Heavenly Father, sometimes it’s difficult to believe that we are worth-it: worth of Your love and grace, may this truth settle in our hearts today, and as we are learning to dance to the right music again give us the strength to silence the lies and proclaim Your truth over us. Amen
