Dancing to the right music – Day 14
Word of God
John 8:31-32 (ESV) “So Jesus said to the Jews who had believed him, “If you abide in my word, you are truly my disciples, and you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.”
The final and most important truth through Jesus is the power of the Word. Acceptance, worthiness, trust, and authority can only become the truth in our lives if we put the power and the truth of The Word behind it.
2 Samuel 7:28 (NLT) “For you are God, O Sovereign Lord. Your words are truth, and you have promised these good things to your servant.”
As long as we allow the lies to govern our lives, we will remain captive. The truth of God’s Word breaks open prison doors or jewellery boxes. Finally, God gave a clear answer as to what I was missing. I was missing His truth and His Word. I was dancing to the music of lies and deception, seeing my own reflection, not His.
Psalm 119:160 (KJV) “The entirety of Your word is truth, And every one of Your righteous judgments endures forever”
I had to dance for the King again, but first I had to allow His Truth to change my reflection to His. My fear of man to fearing Him again (His power, His authority, His love, and His Sovereignty through Jesus and the Holy Spirit). Only repentance and sanctification through the Word could change what I was seeing and hearing.
John 17:17 (KJV) “Sanctify them through thy truth: thy word is truth.”
As our journey together is coming to an end, I believe that Holy Spirit has helped you address those faces of fear in your life and that the face of God through Jesus has broken every bondage from people-pleasing in your life.
Let the Word of God be the only seeds you allow to grow in your life, let His Word become the new Worship song you dance to: be free and be the person He intended you to be. Dance for the King with sounds of joy!
Prayer: Lord, thank you that Your Word is the only truth in our lives. Teach us to meditate on Your Word day and night so that it can become all we see and hear. Amen
