Day 1 – Focus on the Present

“This [day in which God has saved me] is the day which the Lord has made; Let us rejoice and be glad in it.” Psalms 118:24

Yesterday is gone, and tomorrow is not promised, but this day – this moment is our gift. A place where we can choose to enjoy our newly opened eyes to see God’s hand at work, mostly in ourselves.

Seize this day! Draw every piece of knowledge, wisdom, and joy out of it, for this will form the foundation of an even deeper joy tomorrow. Be present in the moment, feel the emotion, and learn how to control and let go so that your peace can be undisturbed. Every day is a learning curve, an enhancement of our emotional quotient so that we may become partakers of the Spirit of love, power, and self-control.

Prayer: God our Father, as we look to You and see your total dominance of what to us is still a challenge in emotions and reactions, we admire You and we let our desire to be like You have free reign. Teach us Your ways, Lord, so that we might be imitators of our Father, to Your greatest glory! In Jesus’s name. Amen.
