Day 1 – The significance of Your presence

Zephaniah 3:17 “The Lord your God is with you, the Mighty Warrior who saves.
He will take great delight in you; in His love He will no longer rebuke you, but will rejoice over you with singing.”

What a privilege that the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, Creator of heaven and earth, the Ancient of Days has chosen to make His dwelling within us! Why is the presence of God so significant? Let’s explore and find out!

In any circumstance, God’s presence is the difference between hope and despair, defeat and victory. It is what causes darkness to hide in terror from the Light; His presence is the distinction between reading the Bible with the natural mind versus having the eyes of the spirit enlightened to grasp the truth that is hidden safely as mysteries for those who seek for them like silver.

This prayer of Paul describes but one of the outcomes when we become aware of, and live a life that welcomes the presence of God: “I pray that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened so that you will know what is the hope of His calling, what are the riches of the glory of His inheritance in the saints, and what is the boundless greatness of His power toward us who believe.”

Do you desire this?

Prayer: Heavenly Father, thank you that You are ever-present in my life through the Holy Spirit Who lives in me. I desire to experience Your presence, to have enlightened eyes. In agreement with Paul’s prayer, I ask that I may know what the hope of Your calling is. Show me the riches of the glory of Your inheritance. Let me experience Your power in my life. Amen.
