Day 10 – In agreement

This testimony is shared by Anonymous as a reminder that we should always ensure God’s agreement in our actions.

“My husband and I had decided to put an asset of ours on the market. We were both in agreement about it and we left it in the Lord’s hands to send us the right buyer.

During the year we have had three buyers, but all the offers to buy fell through because the buyers had been blacklisted and due to bad debt could not obtain a loan to secure the purchase. When the last offer fell through, I was very, very sad. I could not understand why this was happening and why bad credit buyers approached us. I thought, “Why was this happening, Lord?”

Then suddenly, the Holy Spirit reminded me that none of these potential buyers were sent by God because God will not send you someone who cannot buy your asset. If the buyer is from the Lord, that person can afford to buy or obtain a loan to purchase your asset. Not people who try and hide their bad credit records. That was something to reflect on, but why then was the Lord permitting these people to make offers to buy our asset?

To teach us perseverance, timing, trust, and faith. As it says in the book of Isaiah, I the Lord will make it happen at the right time. That is not always a pleasant verse to be reminded of when you feel depressed about why it is taking so long to sell. It was not meant to be this way!

As I was reminiscing this past Sunday and I was talking to God in my thoughts, I had to apologize to God. I had previously said to Him, “If I am not meant to sell my asset, I would accept it, I would not be happy about it but I would accept it. I’m letting go.” But after the last offer fell through, I became so heartsore and asked the Lord a lot of questions. A friend said to me, don’t despair, this might just be a test. I realized that I was not true to what I had said to God, I was not letting go, but I was getting very angry and frustrated at this situation. I did not accept it as I said I would.” To be continued…

Prayer: Father, so many times we get frustrated with situations we expect to go according to our time and forget that we should be patient and wait with endurance for Your time. Thank you that we can learn from this testimony that we are not alone in waiting situations. Amen.
