Day 11 – Your presence sustains me in unfairness

Daniel 3:8 “At that time certain Chaldeans came forward and brought [malicious] accusations against the Jews …”

You might be struggling to cope with unjust treatment. How do you deal with people who behave unfairly towards you? Does God expect you to praise Him and treat these people with respect when you are not at fault? This is exactly the right time to bring honour to God by living a life that portrays His nature.

Consider Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, who were minding their own business, serving God, when they were suddenly plunged into an unreasonable situation. When they chose to take a stand for God, they were thrown into a furnace as punishment. How is that for unfair! But these three men chose to glorify God before the wicked king, even though they didn’t know what the outcome would be.

It takes faith to acknowledge God’s goodness even when we don’t see its immediate outcome in our circumstances. Our worship becomes a declaration that we send into the spirit realm that carries the supernatural power of God with it. Our praise ushers in the presence of the Almighty, before Whom the enemy of our souls cannot stand. When Nebuchadnezzar looked into the furnace again, there was a Fourth Man!

The presence of God.

Prayer: Heavenly Father, You are faithful, always! And despite what I feel right now, and what I am going through, I choose to praise You for Your goodness. May my life be a worship song to You, so that when the world looks at me, they may see You glorified! Amen.
