Day 12 – Eliminate Your Expectations

“But love [that is, unselfishly seek the best or higher good for] your enemies, and do good, and lend, expecting nothing in return; for your reward will be great (rich, abundant), and you will be sons of the Most High; because He Himself is kind and gracious and good to the ungrateful and the wicked.” Luke 6:35

How you prayed for the change in people’s hearts and ways and here we are, a year later and nothing has changed… Do not be disappointed, child of God, for nothing you do for the Lord goes unnoticed or will be without result – this is the inheritance of us who belong to God. Rather rejoice in the knowledge that the Almighty has heard your prayers and the process has begun!

Prayer: Father, we do not live by sight, but by faith, so whether things seem to be never changing or whether the winds of change come with a gust, our faith does not depend on them, but on You who are faithful! Our joy will not be influenced by what we see but by Your unbreakable promise of fulfillment. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
