Day 13 – A mother’s faith

“The LORD himself goes before you and will be with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged.” Deuteronomy 31:8

Josephine continues after she finds out about the horrific accident her son was in. “But once again, the Lord kept His promise.  He calmed me, He gave me the strength to do what was needed, He kept my only child alive, He worked daily miracles in my son’s healing process and He gave my son back to me. He granted him a second chance in life.

But my son is broken, not just physically but mentally. Daily, you as a mother ask yourself these questions: “How am I going to deal with this, without vengeance and hatred?  How am I going to be strong for both my son and me?”

And then the Lord brings peace and assurance through His Word and Earthly Angels. He guides you softly but with purpose throughout each and every challenge.

He brings people in the form of Doctors and Nursing staff into your life to assist you to bear the burden. He supports you every day with very dear friends and family, including strangers by your side. He shows you NOTHING is impossible because nothing is IMPOSSIBLE for Him.

As a mother, I spend my days in prayer, in thankfulness and gratitude for His Grace. He is the reason I could be there for my broken son on his long road to recovery. The recovery, which is God’s Will, the small miracles for which we are truly thankful.

And once again, as He did in the past, He showed me: “If you believe in Me, talk to Me and trust Me, I your Lord and Savior will be there for you and your son, no matter what…!”

Prayer: Father, thank You that we can celebrate Your Goodness and Faithfulness with Josephine and I ask that everyone who reads this encouraging testimony be reminded that You are true to Your Word. Amen.
