Day 13 – Your presence – my hiding place

Hebrews 10:19 “Therefore, believers, since we have confidence and full freedom to enter the Holy Place [the place where God dwells] by [means of] the blood of Jesus …”

The blood of Jesus secured for us eternal life. It also gave us the right to enter into God’s presence with confidence; to speak to our Father as His children at any moment. And here’s the really wonderful part: God, Creator, and Ruler of the universe desire to have fellowship with you. He’s inviting you.

Allow His presence to fill you. Wait on Him. Find Him in His Word; discover His attributes. Find out Who He is. Thank Him for His wonderful promises; thank Him for being eternally good, for never changing. Ask Him to meet you where you are at this moment. You don’t need to first become a better person before you can meet with your God. That is like trying to get clean before you take a bath.

Know that you are worthy to enter into the King’s presence – His blood has made you worthy. He is the One who will change you, and this transformation always takes place in His presence. And as you start to express yourself through praise and thanksgiving, you are in effect making yourself receptive to His presence.

Oh, the presence of the Holy One!

Prayer: Ancient of Day, Eternal Father, what a wonder that I am allowed to speak to You, to approach the God of Creation, to have a personal relationship with You! Thank you that You have made me Your child through the ultimate price Your Son, Jesus Christ, paid. Thank you for living in me through Your Holy Spirit. Amen.
