Day 18 – Increase Your Tolerance For Stressful Situations

“Finally, all of you be like-minded [united in spirit], sympathetic, brotherly, kind-hearted [courteous and compassionate toward each other as members of one household], and humble in spirit; and never return evil for evil or insult for insult [avoid scolding, berating, and any kind of abuse], but on the contrary, give a blessing [pray for one another’s well-being, contentment, and protection]; for you have been called for this very purpose, that you might inherit a blessing [from God that brings well-being, happiness, and protection].” 1 Peter 3:8-9

As children of God, we have been trained in righteousness, endowed with love that goes far beyond what earthlings know and understand. We have been given the Spirit of love, power, and self-control, which allows us to stand and let whatever comes to flow from us like water from a duck’s back because we have a deeper insight into the being of man still under the control of emotional outbursts – but we are recreated from above, we can handle everything because we have the Omnipotent Who enables us.

Prayer: Father, our Father, how Your truth has set us free! No longer under the yoke of emotional and involuntary reactions, we undertake to by Your power remain calm and steadfast, and see the salvation of our God. May our unwillingness to be influenced by the world, be a great joy to You. In Jesus’ name. Amen
