Day 2 – Make Time For Everything
“Therefore see that you walk carefully [living life with honor, purpose, and courage; shunning those who tolerate and enable evil], not as the unwise, but as wise [sensible, intelligent, discerning people], making the very most of your time [on earth, recognizing and taking advantage of each opportunity and using it with wisdom and diligence], because the days are [filled with] evil.” Ephesians 5:15-16
Even though this time is known as the holidays, suddenly we are inundated with extra duties, but we need not fear or become frustrated or fearful and stressed, for we worship the God who has made everything in its time.
By a mere asking for wisdom, we will be answered and given a new mind that allows us to separate tasks, arrange them in an order of importance and plan the doing. Even if our time is limited to an hour, it makes no difference to God, for He is the one in control of time and we will find that when we work in harmony with Him, everything will be done as it should be done.
Prayer: Father, when we look at You and Your mastery of sustaining and maintaining the universe with effortlessness, we wish to take a leaf from Your book. Teach us, Lord, how it distinguishes, prioritises, and acts so that Your ultimate goal of our peace can be attained. We entrust all our plans into Your hands, Lord, please show us the way we should go. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
