Day 2 – Promise Keeper (Part 1)

The following testimony from Zenda is a beautiful reminder of our faithful God who keeps His promises regardless of what we are facing.
“Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for He who promised is faithful.” Hebrews 10:23
“I want to give thanks to my Saviour and Lord, my Father in the Heavens.
When my husband and I got married we received a prophetic word from the Lord that He was going to use us in ministry together as a couple and the specific words were: We would move together like wind blowing leaves, moving together and the Lord would confirm every move and decision we make with each other. So, we started with Youth ministry in churches and schools. The Lord stayed faithful for 36 years of married life and in ministry. Confirming and leading us in His destiny and His plan for our lives.
Then my husband was diagnosed with stage 4 melanoma cancer while working in Peru. I stayed behind in South Africa as we had a boy in school at that time. I will never forget the day I received the news from the doctor asking me if he had any history of melanoma cancer in his family. I did not know melanoma cancer and was devastated to discover it was deadly. So, I was asking and praying and reminding our Father God of the word and His promises for us as a couple.”
A beautiful prophetic word followed by God’s faithfulness to His promise during the years, but what happens when life happens? We will continue with Zenda’s testimony tomorrow.
Prayer: Father, thank You that we can see through the beginning of this story how sacred the unity of a marriage covenant is to You and that You are faithful to our obedience. Amen.
