Day 21 – Come Up with a Game Plan

“So prepare your minds for action, be completely sober [in spirit—steadfast, self-disciplined, spiritually and morally alert], fix your hope completely on the grace [of God] that is coming to you when Jesus Christ is revealed.” 1 Peter 1:13

We live in a world created with humans with a free will and that free will will always have us encounter people who are rambunctious and argumentative, with malice and provocativeness fueled by their own unhappiness, but we are not subject to them or what they attempt to draw us into, for we have received minds powered by the Spirit in self-control, but we do not wait until the opportunity presents itself, we prepare beforehand with knowledge and wisdom and a free will with which we choose not to be provoked and not to react, but stand and see the salvation of our God.

Prayer: Father, You have told us in this world we will have difficulties but not to fear, for this knowledge enables us to prepare and provides us the opportunity to have steadfast peace, knowing that whatever comes our way, with whatever motive behind it, You are still on the throne, still omnipotent and still the One who turns that which was created for our destruction, into blessing. Let Your glory be palpable wherever we are. In Jesus name. Amen
