Day 30 – Jot Down Some Positive Thoughts

“Thus says the Lord God of Israel, Write in a book all the words which I have spoken to you.” Jeremiah 30:2

The pen is mightier than the sword and this is so much more true for us who live under a new rule of self-control, when the sword would bring destruction and division and the pen has the ability to focus and order our thoughts, giving us much needed time to contemplate and plan according to God’s Word and not our own emotions. Write down the happenings and emotions and then rather take up the Sword of the Word against the enemy who is not of flesh and blood and let it calm your heart and direct your thoughts to that which is acceptable to God.

Prayer: Author and Perfecter of our faith, You have given in our hand weapons which previously seemed frivolous, but now has turned out to be for our salvation from overreaction and words and actions that speak of no wisdom. As we take up this weapon of the pen, Lord, may Your peace descend on us as we pour out all that troubles us, knowing that You already know each word and have put the necessary plans for victory into place already. In Jesus name. Amen
