Day 31 – Don’t Be Afraid to Ask for Help

“Where there is no [wise, intelligent] guidance, the people fall [and go off course like a ship without a helm], But in the abundance of [wise and godly] counselors there is victory.” Proverbs 11:14

Being used to doing things a certain way, being caught up in tradition, can very easily entrap us in a place where things just become too much. Now being aware of this trap set, let us cast away from us the fear of the new, the fear of judgment and ridicule and take hold of the new, easier, lighter way that the Lord has prepared for us. Do not be afraid to ask those with experience, who seem to have it all together – you will find they either hide that they are overwhelmed or that they have discovered a new way – you know which one to follow…

Prayer: Set in our ways, Lord, is never a good place to be, for it hinders growth and keeps us from discovering the light burdens You have prepared for us. May You find our minds ready to be renewed and our hearts strong and courageous and our skins thick against those who would speak with words that speak of no knowledge. Train us up in Your ways of peace and victory, Lord. In Jesus name. Amen
