Day 36 – Manipulate Your Muscles

“But [like a boxer] I strictly discipline my body and make it my slave, so that, after I have preached [the gospel] to others, I myself will not somehow be disqualified [as unfit for service].” 1 Corinthians 9:27

As believers, we are often called upon to give, our time is stretched to the maximum, and then we will still find more that need us. But limited time is no longer a threat, because we have the ability to strategize and execute. When things seem to get too much, take out small amounts of time to do some relaxation – even if it is just in the physical to bunch up your muscles for a few seconds and then relax and feel the tension flow from your body and in the spirit to quiet your mind and allow the peace of God to take hold of you again.

Prayer: You have called us into Your rest, not to be mistaken for doing nothing, Lord, it is a mind-set wherein we are aware and acknowledge our bodies and emotions and then deal with them according to Your Word. May you find us persistently seeking You in everything we do, during the whole of our days, so that Your will for our good be done. In Jesus name. Amen
