Day 6 – Effect of righteousness

QUIET RESTING PLACES & SAFE DWELLINGS

Isaiah 32:17-18 (AMPC) “And the effect of righteousness will be peace [internal and external], and the result of righteousness will be quietness and confident trust forever. My people shall dwell in a peaceable habitation, in safe dwellings, and in quiet resting-places.”

Today we need to be honest, not one of us has the ability to enter the resting place without righteousness. Righteousness should be the root and backbone of our lives. Sadly, we often forget the effect and result of our right standing with God through Jesus.

I believe all of us want quiet resting places and safe dwellings but the only way to achieve this during 2022 will be through allowing righteousness to govern our lives again. It is all about Jesus and the price He paid. Without our acknowledgment and acceptance of this truth, we will continue seeking, fighting, pursuing, and chasing worldly things just to end up tired and drained at the end of the year again.

I have to be obedient today and remind you of righteousness and what important role it plays in your life. Dear reader, don’t take it lightly and don’t ignore it for another year. Start your new year by reminding yourself and your loves about the price paid on the cross for us and that you will not enter into the resting place with God if you don’t acknowledge what Jesus has done. We enter the Throne through Jesus only.

Prayer: Father God as we come to You in the Name of Jesus through the power of the Holy Spirit today, open our hearts to righteousness again, the value and importance of Jesus, and the love You had for us through Your Son. Help us admit that without righteousness we will never be able to have internal and external peace. Amen
