Day 9 – Be Honest about Your Anxiety
“If we [freely] admit that we have sinned and confess our sins, He is faithful and just [true to His own nature and promises], and will forgive our sins and cleanse us continually from all unrighteousness [our wrongdoing, everything not in conformity with His will and purpose].” 1 John 1:9
The enemy only has victory over us when we are in denial, because where truth reigns, he has no power. For us who are in Christ there is no condemnation, but only understanding and empathy from a Saviour who has experienced it all! Lay down your heavy burden of anxiety and take up His light burden of assurance that everything will work out for the good of us who love Him!
Prayer: Precious Saviour, before You we are who we are, for You have formed us and know us, not one single one of our weaknesses is hidden from You and yet it changes nothing of Your love but instead brings forth Your power in us to calm us and reassure and encourage us. We accept Your work in us, Lord, may Your peace be tangible all around us, to Your glory. In Jesus’ name. Amen
