Words – Day 22 by Iriza
The Language of your Heart
“These people draw near to Me with their mouth, And honor Me with their lips, But their heart is far from Me.” Matthew 15:8
I saw this cute cartooned image: it’s a picture of a heart taking the hand of a brain with the caption: “Me and you need to go someplace quiet where we can talk and agree on things”. Your mind (your mouth) and your heart do not always speak the same language. In fact, I believe the biggest miscommunication issues in the whole world is between our minds and our hearts. We say things we do not mean before we even had the time to think about it. We declare things in the spirit realm which has eternal worth. Which is why we need to ensure our hearts and our minds (mouths) are aligned with God’s Word. Their alignment is the language God loves to hear.
Every person ever who declared a sinner’s prayer and was saved by the Salvation only Jesus Christ can give – has given their hearts to Jesus. But our minds, at times, still dwells in the world and the things of the world. Whatever you decree, declare or pray for, make sure your heart and mind are in alignment with the word of God. The closer your heart is to God, declaring His glory – your mind does not have a choice but to follow suit.
Prayer: Father, thank You for showing us that our mouths (our minds) and our hearts do not always speak the same language. I ask the Holy Spirit that you would teach me and guide me to bring them in alignment with the Word of God. Amen.
