Words from Thoughts

“The mouth of the righteous is a fountain of life, but the mouth of the wicked conceals violence.” Proverbs 10:11

Satan afterthoughts. He knows full well that if he can control your thoughts, he controls your heart and therefore controls your words. What you think of, you start saying. What your saying, becomes your future. There are many things around you daily contesting for your thoughts. Television programs, radio broadcasts, social media feeds, online and printed articles, conversations etc… We can think and ponder about anything and everything we put our minds too. Yes, we overthink things up to a point where we start believing it and accept it as truth. Satan uses the power of suggestion to dominate our thoughts causing us to think more about what was suggested than what the truth is. This is what he did to Eve and this is what he is doing to you too.

But God, the Pursuer of your heart, is even more after your thoughts. “And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may prove what the will of God is, that which is good and acceptable and perfect.” Romans 12:2. Do not allow your thoughts to be controlled by this carnal world and counter the thoughts with the Truth of God’s Word. We are righteous before God and our mouths are fountains of life. Speaking life to others. Speaking life over ourselves, our hearts, our thoughts and our situations. Satan may come to steal, kill and destroy but the Truth of God’s word is to prove the will of God is good and acceptable and perfect.

Prayer: Father, please teach me to take my thoughts captive and to speak Your Word over what I am thinking. Fill my mind with Your Word and bless my mouth to be a fountain of life. A fountain bubbling with Your Joy! Amen.
