Words – Day 28 by Iriza

Words Acquit

“that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth, confession is made unto salvation.” Romans 10:9-10

Words Acquit. You can know the Bible verse for verse and still be damned to hell. Your acquittal is your confession in Jesus because, at some point when you came to Jesus and accepted Him as your salvation, you had to open your mouth and speak to God. Asking His forgiveness and accepting Him as Your Lord and Saviour. You can’t think yourself into heaven. With your own words, you had to confess to the world: You belong to God! You are a child of God! You are saved by the Blood of Jesus and He is your Salvation. Yes, words acquit.

The same applies when you are asked for forgiveness from someone. God acquits us immediately when we ask His forgiveness. There is no reply like: “You really hurt me, I have to think about it…”

Our words of remorse actions acquittal of what we’ve done.

Prayer: Father, thank You that I had the opportunity to pray a sinner’s prayer to use my own words to willingly choose Jesus Christ as my salvation. Thank you for acquitting me and for doing it daily when I asked Your forgiveness. Amen.
