Day 5 – God’s Design for Helper‑ship
“𝘐 𝘸𝘪𝘭𝘭 𝘮𝘢𝘬𝘦 𝘢 𝘩𝘦𝘭𝘱𝘦𝘳 𝘴𝘶𝘪𝘵𝘢𝘣𝘭𝘦 𝘧𝘰𝘳 𝘩𝘪𝘮.” 𝘎𝘦𝘯𝘦𝘴𝘪𝘴 2:18𝘣
The Hebrew word used here is 𝘦𝘻𝘦𝘳 𝘬𝘦𝘯𝘦𝘨𝘥𝘰, a phrase that signifies a strong, vital partner who complements. Not a subservient servant. This word paints a picture of spiritual, emotional, and practical support. It means standing alongside, strengthening, and working together as a team to face life’s challenges with unity and purpose.
Being the helper involves offering spiritual, emotional, and practical support. Strengthening, uplifting, and standing alongside him and working together as a team to face life’s challenges with unity and purpose. Being a helper to your husband is a divine calling that involves collaboration rooted in respect, love, and mutual support. It’s about empowering each other to fulfil God’s purpose for your family. Your role may not include making all the decisions, but you are the glue that holds it together. The prayer warrior who covers your husband and children, and the companion who uplifts and motivates.
Pray: Lord, thank You for creating me to be a strong and purposeful helper. Teach me to reflect Your love and grace in my role, and to stand beside my husband with strength, dignity, and faith. Amen. ©
