Day 7 – Submission as a Witness of Christ

“𝘞𝘪𝘷𝘦𝘴, 𝘣𝘦 𝘴𝘶𝘣𝘫𝘦𝘤𝘵 𝘵𝘰 𝘺𝘰𝘶𝘳 𝘰𝘸𝘯 𝘩𝘶𝘴𝘣𝘢𝘯𝘥, 𝘴𝘰 𝘵𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘦𝘷𝘦𝘯 𝘪𝘧 𝘴𝘰𝘮𝘦 𝘥𝘰 𝘯𝘰𝘵 𝘰𝘣𝘦𝘺 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘸𝘰𝘳𝘥, 𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘺 𝘮𝘢𝘺 𝘣𝘦 𝘸𝘰𝘯 𝘸𝘪𝘵𝘩𝘰𝘶𝘵 𝘢 𝘸𝘰𝘳𝘥 𝘣𝘺 𝘤𝘰𝘯𝘥𝘶𝘤𝘵 𝘰𝘧 𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘪𝘳 𝘸𝘪𝘷𝘦𝘴, 𝘸𝘩𝘦𝘯 𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘺 𝘴𝘦𝘦 𝘺𝘰𝘶𝘳 𝘳𝘦𝘴𝘱𝘦𝘤𝘵𝘧𝘶𝘭 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘱𝘶𝘳𝘦 𝘤𝘰𝘯𝘥𝘶𝘤𝘵.” 1 𝘗𝘦𝘵𝘦𝘳 3:1

Submission takes on an even deeper meaning when a wife is married to a non‑believing husband. Scripture encourages wives in this situation to live with respect and purity, so that their conduct itself becomes a testimony. By being a submissive wife, demonstrating 𝘳𝘦𝘴𝘱𝘦𝘤𝘵 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘱𝘶𝘳𝘪𝘵𝘺 𝘵𝘩𝘳𝘰𝘶𝘨𝘩 𝘺𝘰𝘶𝘳 𝘤𝘰𝘯𝘥𝘶𝘤𝘵, you can serve as a powerful witness, potentially leading your husband to Christ.

Submission is not oppression or silence. It is a strength expressed through humility, respect, and love. It is about reflecting Christ’s character in your marriage, showing patience and grace, and allowing your life to speak louder than words. In this way, submission becomes a living testimony of the Gospel.

Prayer:  Holy Spirit, give me wisdom, patience, and grace as I fulfil this calling. Help me to pray daily for my husband, that You would draw him closer to the Father. May my conduct reflect Christ and serve as a witness of Your love. Amen. ©
