Day 1 – My Love NEVER Fails

From human lips, you often hear words like “I will never hurt you”, “I will never leave you”, or “I will never judge you”. (Just to name a few). The word ‘never’ is not ours to promise because our promises are fallible and our intentions are fleetingly in line with our emotions. There is only One who means when He says “never”. One who will hold this promise unto eternity and One who loves us more than we could ever imagine.     

“Praise the Lord! He is good. God’s love never fails. Praise the God of all gods. God’s love never fails. Praise the Lord of lords. God’s love never fails.” Psalm 136:1-3 CEV

In today’s scripture, the sentence “God’s love never fails” is repeated. Repetition is a writer’s way to draw your attention to a specific idea for remembrance and reflection. God draws our focus to these simple little Words which might be the most beautiful love letter I’ve ever read: God’s love NEVER fails.

It will never fail for me and it will never fail for you either beautiful sister. When God promises His love never fails, I believe it with all my little heart can muster. It is one promise of Love you can write on the tablet of your heart and know with every fiber of your being the truth of this Love manifested through Jesus Christ.

Prayer: Father, with all the hurt we have endured with empty promises of love, we can stand firm in the knowledge that Your Love for us will NEVER fail. Just like You never will. Thank You Jesus for loving me so much that You gave Your life for me so I can know today that this promise stands for eternity. Amen.
