Day 14 – Successful Climb

“Prove by the way you live that you have repented of your sins and turned to God.” Matthew 3:8 NLT
The world has an upside-down vision when looking at success. It is measured by body image, possessions, and careers. But what if the definition of success – by Kingdom standards – is bearing the fruit which you have been created to bear? A successful fruit tree is not bothered about how tall, bushy, climbable, or pretty it is.
When looking back over the distance you have climbed, you should see the fruit of your growth with God. Your success in reaching the summit of your mountain should be measured in how fruitful it was and how it nourished your soul. Our lives (if we walk through valleys, grow through seasons, or climb mountains) should be living proof that we’ve repented and turned our all – body, mind, and soul – to God. Only then can we plant the flag of success on the summit of our mountain.
Prayer: Father, thank You that I can measure the success of my climb with Your standards instead of the worlds. May my fruit be ripe and filled with truthful nourishment for others. Let people recognize me by the fruit growing for you instead of the worldly standards and labels. Amen.
