Day 19 – Weaknesses of a Spiritual Feeler

 “𝘛𝘩𝘦 𝘓𝘰𝘳𝘥 𝘪𝘴 𝘯𝘦𝘢𝘳 𝘵𝘰 𝘵𝘩𝘰𝘴𝘦 𝘸𝘩𝘰 𝘩𝘢𝘷𝘦 𝘢 𝘣𝘳𝘰𝘬𝘦𝘯 𝘩𝘦𝘢𝘳𝘵, 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘴𝘢𝘷𝘦𝘴 𝘴𝘶𝘤𝘩 𝘢𝘴 𝘩𝘢𝘷𝘦 𝘢 𝘤𝘰𝘯𝘵𝘳𝘪𝘵𝘦 𝘴𝘱𝘪𝘳𝘪𝘵.” 𝘗𝘴𝘢𝘭𝘮 34:18

Emotional maturity is not something you put in your shopping basket at the local market. It’s not a chapter in one of the schoolbooks or even taught to us by our parents. Emotions are complex and often difficult to understand. Spiritual feelers carry both their own emotions and those of others, which can create confusion. God created them with the ability to differentiate through His Spirit. Recognizing weaknesses is the first step toward turning emotional mess into emotional maturity in Christ.

• 𝗢𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘄𝗵𝗲𝗹𝗺𝗲𝗱 𝗯𝘆 𝗲𝗺𝗼𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀: Feelers struggle when things don’t feel right. They may take on others’ emotions as their own, which can lead to depression or emotional dysfunction.

 • 𝗢𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘃𝗮𝗹𝘂𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗳𝗲𝗲𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗴𝘀: They may follow what they feel from God without explaining it, leaving others behind or confused.

• 𝗨𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗿𝘃𝗮𝗹𝘂𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗳𝗲𝗲𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗴𝘀: Because they’ve been labelled 𝘵𝘰𝘰 𝘦𝘮𝘰𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯𝘢𝘭, feelers may dismiss what they sense, thinking it’s only themselves. Yet these emotions are often keys to intercession. Instead of carrying them alone, they should ask God what He is imparting emotionally.

• 𝗗𝗶𝗳𝗳𝗶𝗰𝘂𝗹𝘁𝘆 𝗴𝗿𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴:  Without anchoring themselves in God’s Word, feelers can be swayed by emotions. Grounding in Scripture is essential to balance sensitivity with truth.

God uses spiritual feelers to draw near to the broken-hearted, allowing His love to be felt through them. When weaknesses are surrendered to Him, they become strengths that bring healing and intercession.

Prayer: Father, I ask that these weaknesses become strengths in the lives of Spiritual Feelers. May they grow in emotional maturity, so they can be deeply in touch with Your heart and pray for others with clarity and compassion. Thank You for Your beautiful touch in their lives. Amen. ©
