Day 7 – I will NEVER forget you

“So the LORD answers, “Can a woman forget her own baby and not love the child she bore? Even if a mother should forget her child, I will never forget you.” Isaiah 49:15 GNT

“You forgot me!” was all my little one could say while trying to stifle her sobs. It was one of those crazy days and I was running late for everything. Very late. Instead of trying to explain anything to her, I said, “I am sorry that you feel I forgot you. But I love you very much and I would never be able to forget you EVER! See, I am here now.” At that moment I understood it does not matter how I try to justify my being late, in her eyes, I have forgotten her.

There are times when we feel like this when we think God has forgotten us too. Whether we are waiting for a promise to be fulfilled, a mountain to be moved, a healing touch, or just a heavenly intervention – if it takes longer than we anticipated, we feel forgotten. Friend, God promises that He will NEVER forget you even if those closest to you do. You are forever on His mind and He has the most beautiful plan for your life which will blossom in His perfect timing, and if He cares for the sparrows, how much more does He care for you? He knows the plans He has for you, He sent His only, beloved Son for you. He had a plan for your redemption right from the start. He will never leave you nor forsake you, He will never break His covenant. His love, righteousness, and compassion never fail.

And…

He will NEVER forget you.

Prayer: Father, working through these promises of Your Word has once again reassured me of Your greatness! Lord, thank You for these promises of “Never” so we can bind Your truth to our hearts once more. Thank You for loving me and choosing to give me all these promises. Amen.
