Knowing that my husband is accountable as the head of the household encourages me to be a respectful, supportive partner. God is a God of order, and the Bible consistently demonstrates this, beginning with creation, which God declared ๐จ๐ฐ๐ฐ๐ฅ.
When God created Adam, He saw that it was not good for man to be alone. So, He made a helper suitable for him. Think about this: the head (Adam) needed a helper to complete him, to walk alongside him. We were never meant to be oppressed wives but equal partners – those who make it easier for our husbands to make good decisions and fulfil Godโs purpose.
As wives, our role is to complement and balance our husbands, to pray for them, and to stand shoulder to shoulder with them in unity. Submission is not about silence or weakness; it is about empowering our husbands to lead well, knowing they carry accountability before God.
Prayer: Lord, help me to be a good partner to my husband so that he can make wise decisions according to Your guidance. Help me stay connected to his needs and show me how to pray effectively for him. Thank You for designing me as an excellent partner, and for the opportunity to work together as a team, shoulder to shoulder, complementing and balancing each other for Your glory. Teach me to fulfil my role with love, respect, and humility. In Jesusโ name, I pray. Amen. ยฉ
