Day 11 – Rest

Rest

Matthew 11:28 “Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest”

Life tends to make us all extremely busy. So busy, that there are not enough hours in the day to complete our tasks and do what we want to achieve.

There is a danger in this.  The devil likes it when we are very busy.  When we are so busy, we don’t have time to spend proper quality time with our Lord Jesus Christ.  When we miss those precious opportunities, our lives become a rush and we don’t have rest.  Our spirit is not at ease.  That is not what God our Father wants for us.  He gave us His Son, Jesus Christ so that we can have rest.  Take this time to sit back and relax in the Lord.  Just appreciate everything He has given you.  Take in all the blessings He has blessed you with.  Serving the Lord does not mean you need to burn yourself out.

PRAYER:  Lord Jesus, I come to you today and I ask you to give me rest.  When I am weary and burdened, I can’t think properly and I can’t hear you talk to me.  I need your rest in my spirit Lord, in Jesus’s name I ask and receive your rest, Amen.
