We work hard to find God. We search for Him in the pages of the Bible, soak up His truths, study scripture, and memorize passages until we know them by heart. Through it all, we hear the words, but do we listen to His heart? Do we recognise His fingerprints upon the pages? The men and women in the Bible were also His sons and daughters, His children whom He loved and pursued and wanted to be with, just like us. They arenโ€™t unfamiliar to you. Their stories, their mistakes, and their trials are familiar and mirror what we face in our day-to-day lives. They heard Godโ€™s voice. They ๐˜ญ๐˜ช๐˜ด๐˜ต๐˜ฆ๐˜ฏ๐˜ฆ๐˜ฅ. They conquered and overcame because of their obedience to Godโ€™s voice. They lived a ๐™ก๐™ž๐™จ๐™ฉ๐™š๐™ฃ๐™ž๐™ฃ๐™œ ๐™ก๐™ž๐™›๐™š!

God is always speaking. Signs and wonders roar His majestic voice over this world, announcing His presence. And because of His love for us and the direct relationship we can have with Him through the sacrifice of Jesus Christ, He speaks directly to us, too. We need to become still. Not quiet. ๐˜š๐˜ต๐˜ช๐˜ญ๐˜ญ. Deep within our spirit, so we can listen to Him and know that He is God. To lean into His voice in the stillness.

We are all fearfully and wonderfully made in His image, but each one of us is unique, and our relationship with God is unique. Not all of us hear God the same way.   This devotional delves deeper to help you find your unique way to listen to God and to develop a listening lifestyle. To hear Him above all and to understand how He speaks to you in His unique way. To learn, understand, and activate your gift of listening.

Pray with me: Father, I pray that this devotional will help everyone reading this hear Your voice, recognize itโ€™s You speaking, and understand their own gift of listening. Help us, Lord, to develop a listening lifestyle. Thank You for always speaking to us and for allowing us to listen to You in any situation. Amen. ยฉ
