Day 10 – Protection
“No weapon formed against you shall prosper, And every tongue which rises against you in judgment You shall condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord, and their righteousness is from Me,” says the Lord.” Isaiah 54:17
Dictionary.com describes helplessness as being unable to do anything to help yourself or anyone else. But the word helplessness only gets substance when you have children, and you cannot help them. I despise that feeling so much. When the kids are sick, physically, or emotionally hurt I just want to take it away from them. Many times, I’ve caught myself praying: “Lord, let it rather be me please.”
As I type these words, I cannot help to think that this might have been what Jesus said too, “Father, let it rather be me please” because of His unending, relentless love for us…
Today my prayer is that our children will be protected through the Blood of Jesus and that no weapon formed against them will prosper. That those who lay a judgment against them or verbally abuse them will answer to God because this is the heritage of the servants of the Lord. May they always turn to God for protection whenever they feel helpless.
Prayer: Father, thank You for the assurance that even when I feel helpless, You are not. I ask that Your protection will keep them safe as the enemy attacks from everywhere and that no weapon formed against them shall prosper – physically or verbally. May our children be known as Your servants and that their righteousness is from You. Amen.
