Day 11 – Speaking God’s Word

“This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate in it day and night, that you may observe to do according to all that is written in it. For then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have good success.” Joshua 1:8

“Go back and learn the speech until you know it off by heart.” Words my children despised when it was time to learn speeches for school. Whether the topic was that of their dog or world peace, I wanted them to not just know it word for word, but they had to believe what they were conveying to their audience.

A lesson I took to heart from my parents is to know what you are talking about. Believe what you are saying in such a way others believe you too.

My prayer is that our children will meditate on God’s word day and night so they would know the Truth word for word and that the Law of God shall never depart from their mouths. That they will believe each word of the Gospel and tell it to others so that they believe too. Not only for them to know the Word, but to observe the writings and to follow what is written in it. I pray that their reward from God will be prosperous and they have good success in what they do according to God’s Word.

Prayer: Father, thank You for Your Law – You Word. I pray and ask that You will create a hunger within them to meditate on it and to put what they learn into action so others can see the difference in their lives. That they not only believe the words from our children about You, but they will see it in their actions. Amen.
