Day 1 – Fruitfulness

Jesus told us that as we remain in Him, we will bear much fruit. Without Him, we can do nothing. Fruitfulness is an absolute essential in the Kingdom of God and spiritual fruit is the direct result of His Spirit living and working through us.
“(Not in your own strength) for it is God who is all the while effectually at work within you (energizing and creating in you the power and desire), both to will and work for His good pleasure and satisfaction and delight.” Philippians 2:13-18 (AMP)
I’m excited to explore these!! The work of the Holy Spirit in our lives, what these fruits look like, and how to yield to the Holy Spirit to be more fruitful to the Glory of God! In Matthew we learn that a tree is recognized by its fruit and by investing our time with God – worshipping, reading the word, and soaking in His presence… His fruit becomes evident in us.s
“But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control; against such things, there is no law” Galatians 5:22-23
The Passion Translation reads: “Joy that overflows, Peace that subdues, Patience that endures, Kindness in action, A Life full of virtue, Faith that prevails, Gentleness of heart, and strength of Spirit. Never set the law above these qualities, for they are meant to be limitless”.
To bear Spiritual fruit is only possible by the Holy Spirit because these do not come naturally to even the most well-intending person and are opposite to the way the world thinks, acts, and responds. These fruits are a miracle that God does in us.
Prayer: Precious Lord, may the fruit of Your spirit overflow in me. Where I am barren, prune me – teach me how to surrender moment to moment so that You can create in me a blossoming vineyard. In Jesus’s Name. Amen
