Day 101 – Hear Him

Study Luke 9:34-36

“And a voice came out of the cloud, saying, ‘This is My beloved Son. Hear Him!’” Luke 9:35

While Peter was still speaking, a bright cloud overshadowed them, and a terrifying, holy awe filled the disciples as the voice of God thundered from heaven. The Father did not validate Moses and Elijah as equals to Christ; instead, He declared, “𝘛𝘩𝘪𝘴 𝘪𝘴 𝘔𝘺 𝘣𝘦𝘭𝘰𝘷𝘦𝘥 𝘚𝘰𝘯. 𝘏𝘦𝘢𝘳 𝘏𝘪𝘮!”

As the cloud lifted, the disciples looked up and saw no one else except Jesus alone. Moses had passed, Elijah had vanished, but Jesus remained. In Him, God’s final and complete word to humanity is spoken. When the voices of the world clamour for our attention, the Father’s command remains absolute: 𝘓𝘐𝘚𝘛𝘌𝘕 𝘛𝘖 𝘑𝘌𝘚𝘜𝘚.

Pray with me: Lord Jesus, quiet the competing voices in my heart so I can hear Your words above all else. You alone are God’s beloved Son, and I choose to listen and obey You today. Amen. ©
