DAY 5 – PRAYER AND GOD’S PRESENCE
Psalm 27:1 “The Lord is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? The Lord is the stronghold of my life; of whom shall I be afraid?” (Please study Psalm 27:1-14)
Where does one begin when one considers their problems? Most often people begin with their problems and then move toward the Lord. However, Christians ought to follow the Psalmist’s example and heaven, then move to their problems in light of those things. When they pray, they ought not to begin with petitions, but begin with praise and adoration of the Lord, admiring His beauty and excellence.
God’s unchanging character, goodness, and excellence change the perspective. Nothing is so big and so awful when it is looked at in regard to who the Lord is. Then the Christians must make their requests known to the Lord, having full confidence that He is greater than any
problem and is fully capable of ruling over them.
PRAYER: Dear Lord, You are our light. Immortal and invincible God, we praise You even today. An excellent God, we bow before Your throne, thank You Lord so much for Your grace, and help us always acknowledge Who You are in our lives, Amen.
