Day 102 – The glory of God in action
Study Luke 9:37-43
“And they were all astonished at the majesty of God. But while everyone marvelled at all the things which Jesus did…” Luke 9:43
Coming down from the mountain of glorious transfiguration, Jesus immediately stepped back into the gritty, broken realities of a fallen world. At the foot of the mountain, a desperate father was pleading for his tormented, demon-possessed son while the remaining disciples stood helpless, unable to cast the spirit out.
Jesus rebuked the unbelieving generation, took the boy, healed him completely, and handed him back to his father, leaving everyone astonished at the majesty of God. The high peaks of spiritual revelation are meant to empower us for compassionate, practical ministry in the messy valleys of everyday life.
Pray with me: Lord Jesus, keep me from staying on the mountain of comfort. Give me Your power and compassion to bring Your healing light into the broken valleys around me. Amen. ©
Love, Iriza
