As helpers, we are in a unique position to pray and intercede for our husbands. We often know their struggles, dreams, fears, and ambitions. Our daily task is to lift them in prayer for their health, protection, and spiritual growth. We sit in the midst of their fears and burdens, and through prayer, we can uplift their spirits and shield them.
While they focus on caring for us spiritually, emotionally, and financially, we are called to support them through prayer. Praying for your husband is like being his shield, covering him in spiritual warfare. As helpers, we have a duty to daily pray for our husbands. Not only is this a duty, but a privilege. Just as a shield provides protection, our faith must be unwavering and active. Prayer requires deliberate trust in the Lord, and our consistent faith acts as a spiritual shield to guard our husbands from the enemyโs attacks.
Prayer: Father, I elevate all the husbands who do not know how to love their wives as You desire. I pray for the mothers who have not taught their sons how to love like Jesus, sacrificially and unconditionally. Forgive us, Lord, for our shortcomings as mothers, and forgive our sons for their failures. Holy Spirit, teach us to be mothers after Your own heart, women who show and teach love according to Your perfect example. Help us to guide our sons to love their wives as Jesus loves the church. Strengthen us as wives to pray diligently for our husbands, to be their shields and support, and to encourage them to walk faithfully with You. In Jesusโ name, we pray. Amen. ยฉ
