Day 15 – Prayer that dares to ask

Ephesians 3:19-21 “Now to Him Who by the power that is at work within us, is able to carry out His purpose do superabundantly, far over and above all that we dare ask or think [infinitely beyond our highest prayers, desires, thoughts, hopes, or dreams] – to Him be the glory …”

The first part of this passage has a condition – that we should know Christ, be deeply rooted, and be founded securely on God’s love. That is when we will grasp the fullness of God’s love and be filled with the fullness of God, being wholly filled and flooded with God Himself.

And then the promise: We may dare to ask or think beyond our highest prayers, desires, thoughts, hopes, or dreams … Can you imagine that? God says we may dare to ask for anything!

And He is able to carry out His purpose to do superabundantly beyond what we can ask! This is our God! He is willing to help us because He loves us. And even when there seems to be a delay in an answer to prayer, He is still in control, He still has a blessed plan for each of us. He has not forgotten about you! Trust Him. Make time to get to know Him – that is His desire. To Him be the glory!

Prayer: Everlasting Father, thank you that You love me enough to dwell in me through Your Holy Spirit, despite my many shortcomings. You love me so much that You are interested in my most daring hopes and dreams. You are faithful and I trust that You will answer me according to Your plan and in Your divine timing. Amen.
