Day 16 – Showing love
“Owe nothing to anyone – except for your obligation to love one another. If you love your neighbour, you will fulfil the requirements of God’s law.” Romans 13:8
Sibling love is a strange thing. The one moment they are the biggest enemies and the best of friends the next. And I’ve seen that even if they are not getting along the moment one is in trouble or hurting, they unify with a love bond so strong that not even Samson can break it.
This always makes me wonder what we as the Body of Christ are capable of if we take our obligation to love one another, as Jesus commanded, seriously…
May prayer is that our children understand that Jesus already paid the biggest ransom for their souls and they owe nothing to anyone except their obedience to Jesus as they follow His command to love one another. That they understand and accept that this obligation is valid for every human lovingly created by God our Father and not just the people they like. I pray they love and value one another to fulfil the requirements of God’s law laid down on stone millennia ago.
Prayer: Father, fill the hearts of our children with love for one another. I pray that they will accept and understand the importance to love their neighbour and by doing so, spread the Gospel of Love. Amen.
