Day 15 – Hakuna Matata

“When you lie down, you will not be afraid; Yes, you will lie down and your sleep will be sweet.” Proverbs 3:24

If you have children, you probably know a few lines from the movie The Lion King. There’s a song you might be even more familiar with Hakuna Matata – it means no worries. Usually, after the movie two little girls become two little lion cubs parading around in the house singing the catchphrase of the song at the top of their lungs.

My prayer is that our children will always have sweet sleep in the embrace of Jesus and will not have any worries or be afraid. When they close their eyes after the day that they may be at peace because they know the Lion of Judah who will protect them and work out all for God’s good.

Prayer: Father, thank You that we have the assurance that You are always there for our children and that You watch over them even in their sleep. May their sleep be sweet with the assurance that You are always there and they have nothing to be afraid of.
