Day 14 – A+ Teacher

“All you children shall be taught by the Lord, And great shall be the peace of your children.” Isaiah 54:13

I leaned against the doorpost of the kids’ room while watching the kids play “school-school”. The eldest was the teacher (obviously) and getting a bit frustrated with her young sibling paging through a Sarie magazine. Not very interested in what her sister had to teach. Suddenly, the “teacher” stomped her little foot on the ground and with arms firmly on her hips said, “Why are you not listening? This is an important life lesson I am teaching you.”

My prayer is that our children will be taught by the Lord. What greater teacher could we as mommies ever ask for? May He teach them kindness, compassion, love, patience, long-suffering, and moral standards by the Law of His Word. May our children experience God’s peace with every Word taught by Him and use it discernibly in everything they do.

Prayer: Father, today I ask that You be the teacher of our children. Guide us with Your Word to be Your instruments. With every Word You teach, may they experience Your peace so they will always know it and seek it with all their hearts. Amen.
