Day 13 – I love you “mot”

“And may you have the power to understand, as all God’s people should, how wide, how long, how high, and how deep his love is. May you experience the love of Christ, though it is too great to understand fully. Then you will be made complete with all the fullness of life and power that comes from God.” Ephesians 3:18-19

Around the age of two, my youngest struggled to say the letter “s”. At bedtime, our ‘sleep tight’ routine would go something like this:

Me: I love you!

Baby: I love you too!

Me: I love you most!

Baby: I love you mot!

Since then, “I love you mot!” became our love declaration to each other – the “mot” emphasizing how much we loved each other. It does sound a bit silly, but we forget just how much God loves us. My prayer is that our children will always know how much they are loved by our Heavenly Father, even if they cannot comprehend the deepness of Jesus’s love for them. That they will always be filled by God’s love and live in the fullness of His love and power. I pray that God will show them that He loves them “mot”. May the children of our world experience His relentless love.

Prayer: Father, I ask that You will envelop our children with Your love and fill them with a fullness to reach others with Your love too. May they walk in Your fullness and power and always know that You love them most. Amen.
