Day 30 – Walk in the light

“But if we walk in the light as He is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus Christ His Son cleanses us from all sin.” 1 John 1:7

The precious Word of God is filled with scripture for us to glean a glimpse of the unrelentless love God has for us. But just as each Word is precious to our souls, so they are to our children.

We have the privilege as mommies, to pray the scriptures over our children entrusting them to our Father, whom we know loves them more than we ever could. I pray today’s verse over them often – that they may always walk in the Light who is Jesus. To be in fellowship with others and that they realise the blood of Jesus Christ, God’s precious Son cleanses all their sins when they stay within the halo of His light and the truth of His Word.

My prayer is that what we have learned to pray for our children in these past days be carried forward by them to generations to come. “Tell your children of it, and let your children tell their children, and their children to another generation.” Joel 1:3 May our children carry the prayer-torch for their children forward and always shine the Light of Jesus to all.

Prayer: Father, thank You that we have the privilege to pray Your Word over our children, and may the words of our prayers carry from generation to generation just as Your word is a beacon for them to follow. May we never neglect to pray for our children and constantly place them before Your throne of Glory. Amen.
