DAY 1 – Why pray?
“Every great movement of God can be traced to a kneeling figure.” – Dwight L. Moody
If almighty God already knows what we need and what we think, why should we pray?
John 14:13 NKJV “And whatever you ask in My name, that I will do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son.” Prayer simply put is glorifying God, being the highest purpose of prayer.
Mark 11:23 (NKJV) “For assuredly, I say to you, whoever says to this mountain, ‘Be removed and be cast into the sea,’ and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that those things he says will be done, he will have whatever he says.” In order to see our mountain move, we have to speak to the mountain, how will this be done?
Through prayer of course!
From our asking, trusting, and receiving the outcome of prayer, all the glory will be given to God. Prayer is the most important part of our Christian life but so often the one thing we neglect the most. Join me for the next few days as we ignite the power of prayer in our lives again.
Prayer: Father God, we repent for giving prayer the last priority in our lives. Please guide us through Your Spirit for the next few days as we learn your heart about prayer. Amen.
