Day 23 – Epilogue

“Not that I have already obtained it [this goal of being Christlike] or have already been made perfect, but I actively press on so that I may take hold of that [perfection] for which Christ Jesus took hold of me and made me His own. Brothers and sisters, I do not consider that I have made it my own yet; but one thing I do: forgetting what lies behind and reaching forward to what lies ahead, I press on toward the goal to win the [heavenly] prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus.” Philippians 3:12-14

Beloved, our time here on earth is not all about the destination, but more importantly about the journey. Our reformation into the image of Christ is a process and one that is difficult, because God has to contend with all these things we have looked at, before we can attain what He has for us. But He does not give up and therefore we should not give up or become demotivated, but day after day, even as our outer selves are wasting away, we should grab hold of the renewal and be changed from glory to even greater glory through the Spirit Who is the Lord. May it become a joy to change, not a burden and know that the new you is going to be more than you could ever dream, think or pray, for God’s purposes are so much greater than our own.

Prayer: Precious Lord and Saviour, You have turned our worlds upside down, You have taken us out of our comfort zones and put us on a new path of reformation, restoration and healing. May You find us willing participants because we desire the fullness of what You have in store for us. We take Your hand, Lord, lead us, guide us, protect us, teach us and train us, we want to know You. In Jesus’s name. Amen.
