Day 7 – God’s got this babe!

“Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life; And I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever.” Psalm 23:6

The wallpaper on my daughter’s tablet is a pretty, very fashionable blush pink with black brush-type lettering. What grabbed my attention wasn’t the aesthetic of the image, but the message itself… “God’s got this babe!”

We step into every day with uncertainty and worry gnawing at our soul. But as you take the first step into a brand new day, into any and every stressful situation, God’s goodness and mercy follow you, all the days of your life. We might physically walk on this earth, but we dwell in the house of the Lord.

My sweet friend, I understand full well how much stress you have to deal with. How much stress difficult situations cause and we’re not even talking about the stress lacing relationships. Living life is stressful but it doesn’t need to be when we follow our Shepherd. There is a Word antidote for anything that might cause you stress. God’s got this babe!

Prayer: Father, thank You for teaching me that I do not need to entertain stress in my life and I can give it to You, my Shepherd, and only follow your voice. Lord, You know all the situations in my life and You know all the things I worry about. I ask forgiveness that I’ve not given them to You sooner. Please lift these burdens from me and show me how to live a stress-less life. Thank You for Your goodness and mercy. Amen.
