Day 7 – Goodness

Goodness is a beautiful combination of various fruits.

It is described as being good to others, generous, compassionate, caring, patient, and understanding.It refers to the quality of being morally right or virtuous. To be good is to overcome evil because goodness is doing what’s right even when it is difficult or unpopular. To be good is to be the light.

Jesus said only God is good. “Why do you call me good?” Jesus asked him. “Only God is truly good.” Luke 18:19 NLT Because only God is good, the only way for us to bear the fruit of Goodness is for the Holy Spirit to live in and through us.

Goodness is expressed through positive qualities such as honesty, integrity, compassion, and generosity. Goodness is often associated with the idea of altruism, or selflessness because good people are motivated by a desire to help others and make the world a better place.

Prayer: Lord Jesus prune me, take away that which is not of you, so that others will see your Goodness in me. Holy Spirit cut away what is dead or evil in me and fill me with more of you. As John, The Baptist said, “Lord you become more and I less.” Amen
