Fasting like Daniel – Day 11

Send me
Fast: Breakfast
“Then I heard the Lord asking, ‘Whom should I send as a messenger to this people? Who will go for us?’ I said, ‘Here I am. Send me.” Isaiah 6:8 (NLT)
As a Mom, I feel my work is never done. There is always something to do, something to fix, something to clean, something to cook or some errand to run. And most of the things I do is not for me personally, but for my family. As much as I sometimes feel I am overwhelmed, I still do the “mom-tasks” because I love my family. In the same way, we should look at the things God asks us to do for Him and do them because we love Him. There is always someone in need, someone who needs prayer, someone who needs an ear… It’s our willingness to put our hand and say, “Send me Lord!” that might make all the difference to someone else.
Don’t be afraid to say “Here I am. Send me.” Be willing, ready, and obedient when God needs to send a message or has a mission. When God presses something bigger on your heart (like a ministry or a big change in your life – just say “Here I am. Send me.”
Prayer: Father, today I pray for the willingness in my heart and to be brave and lift my hands and say “Here I am. Send me.” Sometimes fear of the unknown curbs my willingness, but I have not been given a spirit of fear and because of my love for You Lord, I will do it. Amen.
Scripture: Matthew Chapters 27-28 & Romans 5:8-9
