Listen – Day 4

Expect God to show up

“Because He has inclined His ear to me, Therefore I will call upon Him as long as I live.” Psalms 116:2

I’ve noticed people praying (or asking for prayer) but not believing that God will honour their prayer or even hear it. Let’s take a trip down memory lane for a bit: when you called your mom or dad, what was their response? Especially when it was a call of need. They came running, right? God does the same. You are His child. When you call, He shows up because His ear is inclined to you. He knows your voice, but you need to get to know His voice too. Especially in the stormy times, we find ourselves in.

Our thoughts can be the most thunderous storm drowning out even our voice, let alone God’s. But even in these situations, we can be assured that God will show up. Didn’t Jesus walk on the water amid a storm towards His disciples? Yes, when you call on God, expect Him to show up. Listen for Him even in the storms of life.

Prayer: Father, thank You that I can know that doesn’t matter what the situation is that I can call upon You as long as I live because Your ear is inclined to me. Thank You that I can be assured that when I call upon You, You will show up. I love You Father. Amen. ©
